Use and read out urine tests correctly
Most common urine testers have a detection time for THC - Tetrahydrocannabinol - of approx. 30-120 days.
After removing the tester from the multi-panel packaging, you should use the tester as soon as possible. To do this, remove the cap of the tester without touching the test strip and dip it into the urine with the arrow head pointing downwards so that the urine does not come into contact with the plastic housing. Hold the tester in the urine for at least 10 seconds and then put the cap on. Place the tester on a clean, non-absorbent surface for 5 minutes. You can then read the result. You should not wait longer than 10 minutes, after which the results are no longer certain.
The results can be interpreted as follows:
Negative: Two parallel lines have appeared, one in the control region (C) and another recognisable colour line in the adjacent test region (T). The result shows that the concentration of the substance is below the detection limit. Note: The intensity of the colour in the test region (T) may vary and may be faint, but is considered negative when appearing.
Positive: one coloured line appears in the control region (C) and no line appears in the test region (T). The concentration of the substance is above the limit of detection.
Invalid: only the line appears in the test region (T), no line appears in the control region (K) or no line appears in either the control region (K) or the test region (T). This may be due to incorrect processing technique or insufficient sample volume. Run a new test with a new tester.
Please also follow the specific instructions of the manufacturer of your particular tester and observe the storage regulations and the expiry date in order to obtain correct tests.
